Choosing minimalist elegance

I often suggest to my clients that they offer the flowers used for their wedding as a bouquet for the guests at the end of the evening! Reproduce a garden

Literally step into your fairytale wedding on an enchanting floral aisle. In 2024, wedding trends are big and bold – think lush florals galore that create a beautiful pathway for the bride and groom's impressive entrance. Inspired by wildflowers and wild gardens, this design style will be the standard for wedding flowers in 2024. Bouquets, centerpieces and other arrangements will have a loose, wispy look, created using flowers like poppies, ranunculus, cosmos and other flowers known for their flexible stems and which seem to literally dance! Along the same lines, I like wispy floral arrangements – which also won't be filled with flowers, filler or greenery. Instead, the goal, in 2024, is to intentionally leave open space in arrangements to create asymmetrical shapes and movements in a way that feels organic and natural, like you've just picked flowers during a 'a walk through the countryside.

Less greenery – more flowers

Speaking of simplification, greenery will take a back seat to flowers as the focus shifts to bouquets, centerpieces and other more structural and impactful arrangements. Greenery has long been a staple for complementing floral designs, especially for bohemian and garden-style arrangements, but the flower-on-flower style is so on-trend. I love using seasonal foliage sparingly. I use very little foliage in wedding arrangements. By reducing the use of foliage, it's the flowers themselves that do the talking, stealing the show, with statement blooms and vibrant color palettes driving the designs.

Greenery from here

Greenery won't disappear completely, but the type of greenery used is also changing. You will see fewer elements like eucalyptus and imported foliage, and more plants picked in Quebec, cultivated, wild or even harvested in your own garden, such as ivy, raspberry, sprigs of mint, oregano and strawberry vines, etc. My favorite is definitely the raspberry tree for its colors and the interesting movements of the branches!

Invite fruits and vegetables!

Certain fruits and vegetables have long been associated with gods, abundance and positive symbolism. Including abundant fruit is a great way to diversify your floral arrangements and create impact on your tables and bring in some interesting colors! Increasingly, one of the most popular wedding floral trends we are seeing is the use of potted fruit plants and fruit trees as centerpieces for table designs. Skillfully using a mix of the two in our designs breaks up the rhythm of the space, adds a destination wedding vibe, and is a great sustainable option as opposed to using cut flowers everywhere.

The Woody Cottage trend

For future brides and grooms who love nature and want to make their lovely day a true communion with nature, woody weddings are wow. What colors are trending in 2024?

According to Pantone, “embrace the heat”! Pantone's color of the year, Peach Fuzz 13-1023, reflects the desire to care for ourselves and others. It is a soft, velvety peach tone whose overall spirit enriches the mind, body and soul. Peach is a color radiating warmth and modern elegance. I love the fashion for long gloves, floral prints and veils. However, this trend is not limited to bridal fashion; Vintage wedding cakes are also absolutely hot in 2024.
