Tips & tricks: candle with a wooden wick
·

·
Wooden wick candles bring a very unique and magical light and warmth!
They require a little special care compared to the cotton wick. But, the game is worth it 😉
We promise that when we hear the sound of the wooden wick crackling gently like a small fire, we love the wooden wick!!
TIPS & TRICKS
- Think of a fireplace. It may happen that the wood requires a little more time before lighting. To avoid burning your fingers and leave the flame on the wooden wick longer: use a long-range lighter (also called a BBQ lighter).
- Leave the fire on the wooden wick until the wick ignites and a little longer than you think after lighting.
- If you notice that the wick is having difficulty staying lit, you can take a small piece of paper towel and absorb a little wax. This will help the fire touch the wood directly and not the wax. It can change everything and save the day!
- Trim the wick using a wick trimmer between uses. Take care to cut off the blackened wood. The wood bit must be short to work well.
- We recommend letting the lit candle burn for at least 2 hours, until the melted wax covers the entire surface. This will prevent your candle from forming a hollow, a chimney in its center. Your candle has a lifespan of at least 45 hours. Don't forget, the container is reusable. Use your imagination to find it a second life in yours
